Here’s a breakdown of the snap counts
Status: OFFLINE

from the Philadelphia Eagles’ wild 16-15 win over the Chicago Bears in the Wild Card round of the 2019 NFL playoffs.OFFENSEThe starting offensive line and the starting quarterback played the entire game. That’s a recipe for success. Alshon Jeffery nearly played the entire game against his former team. He finished as the Eagles’ leading receiver with six receptions for 82 yards on nine total targets. Zach Ertz had five for 52 and Nelson Agholor had three for 32.Golden Tate had his second highest snap percentage since the Eagles traded for him. It’s a little interesting to see the Eagles went with more 11 personnel (one tight end) when 12 personnel (two tight ends) had been working so well for them recently. The Bears have been good against two tight end sets this season Clayton Thorson Jersey 2019 , so perhaps the Eagles didn’t like the matchup. Also, perhaps Bears starting nickel cornerback Bryce Callahan being out encouraged the Eagles to go with more three wide receiver looks. Callahan’s backup, Sherrick McManis, also got banged up in this game. I’m sure the Eagles’ decision to go to Tate with the game on the line was aided by the Bears having a weakness at the slot corner spot. Tate finished the night with five receptions for 46 yards and one game-winning score.More playing time for Tate meant a little less playing time for Dallas Goedert. The rookie tight end only had two catches but they were high impact plays: a touchdown and a catch-and-run for a first down. Darren Sproles led Eagles running backs in playing time once again. He received the most touches of any back with 15 — 13 carries for 21 yards and two receptions for 14 yards. Wendell Smallwood finished the game with 10 total touches — eight carries for 20 yards and two receptions for 20 yards. He was inches away from having a successful two-point conversion following the Eagles’ final touchdown.Jordan Matthews drew a 33-yard pass interference penalty that ultimately set up Goedert’s touchdown.Josh Adams took a carry for two yards on the Eagles’ first drive and then didn’t play for the rest of the game. Eagles clearly didn’t like this matchup for him. Boston Scott played his first offensive snap with the Eagles but he did not have any touches.Bears snap count note: All Pro starting safety Eddie Jackson was active but did not play at all. That ended up being a big break for the Eagles. DEFENSENigel Bradham, who was a beast, and the starting secondary played the entire game. Brandon Graham only had a solo tackle to his name despite missing just six snaps.Michael Bennett had a really dumb penalty — especially for a veteran player — but he filled the stat sheet with three solo tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, and one quarterback hit. He’s had a real good season. The Bears clearly gave a lot of extra attention to Fletcher Cox, who had one solo tackle, one tackle for loss, and one quarterback hit. What doesn’t show up in his stats is how he forced Mitchell Trubisky into some throwaways by being so disruptive.Cre’Von LeBlanc was active against his former team: three solo tackles and a pass breakup.Tre Sullivan playing 75% of the snaps shows you how Jim Schwartz likes packages with extra defensive backs on the field. Sullivan dropped a sure pick in the end zone. Chris Long didn’t have any tackles or sack but he did hit Trubisky twice. Jordan Hicks wasn’t on the injury report heading into this game but his workload continues to be limited. The increased use of dime packages meant Bradham was the sole linebacker out there for a majority of the defensive snaps. Timmy Jernigan’s 22 snaps played were a season high. Good to see his workload getting increased. Jernigan was productive in limited action with one solo tackle, one sack, one tackle for loss Cheap Clayton Thorson Jersey , and one quarterback hit. He has the ability to take advantage of Cox getting extra attention from blockers. The Eagles didn’t use much base defense in this game so that explains Kamu Grugier-Hill’s limited action.SPECIAL TEAMSAfter being a healthy scratch last week, Shelton Gibson played just five special teams snaps in this game.Daeshon Hall didn’t get any defensive snaps for the first time since the Eagles signed him several weeks ago. DID NOT PLAYINACTIVE: Carson Wentz, Sidney Jones, Mike Wallace, D.J. Alexander, Bruce Hector, Matt Pryor, Chance WarmackACTIVE: Nate Sudfeld Reviewing penalty calls, including pass interference, will be among proposals NFL owners will hear to expand replay when they meet next week in Phoenix.Greater use of replay has become a scorching topic since the NFC championship game, when a non-call on a blatant pass interference and helmet-to-helmet hit by Rams defensive back Nickell Robey-Coleman likely cost the Saints a Super Bowl trip. That type of non-call would not be subject to review under the league’s competition committee’s proposal, however. The committee will present one proposal to make reviewable pass interference that has been called, plus looking at all scoring plays and turnovers negated by penalty. In a second recommendation, pass interference and fouls for roughing the passer and unnecessary contact against a defenseless player would be reviewable as long as they are flagged. Both would be one-year trials. But members of the powerful competition committee that reviews the rulebook each year don’t sense strong support for a major expansion of replay.“They are always sharply divided Black Clayton Thorson Jersey , people have very strong views on replay,” Rich McKay, president of the Atlanta Falcons and co-chairman of the competition committee, said Friday. “We wanted to get proposals that we worked on a lot based on data and based on a system we could be comfortable around. We know how tough replay is to get 24 votes for a league that from 1992-98 didn’t have replay.”For any rule change, three-quarters of NFL teams must vote yes.“We welcome the discussion, and we feel like this is a good way to expand it,” McKay added. “We have data that shows these are the most impactful plays, and the ones we can change.”Several teams also made replay proposals, including one by Kansas City that would address what happened in the Rams-Saints title game. The Chiefs are proposing potential personal fouls not called on the field be reviewed after a coach’s challenge. Robey-Coleman’s helmet hit would have fallen in that category.Washington suggested making all plays challengeable by coaches or reviewable by the officiating department in New York. The Redskins also want to add reviews of personal fouls. So those alterations also would apply to the Rams-Saints play.Philadelphia suggested adding scoring plays and turnovers negated by a foul as subject to automatic review, no challenge needed. Denver proposed all fourth-down plays that are spotted short of the first-down marker be subject to automatic review, and also all extra-point attempts. The Panthers, Rams, Eagles and Seahawks want to add review of designated player safety-related fouls whether called or not called on the field to what coaches can challenge. This also could be applied to the Robey-Coleman hit.NFL operations chief Troy Vincent, a star defensive back when he played Clayton Thorson Philadelphia Eagles Jerseys , said the committee met with everyone involved in such calls: players, coaches, officials, team owners, administrators.“Officials have to live this out in real time,” Vincent explained. “This was about working to keep a system in place from a mechanical administration standpoint on game day, and the flow (of the game). The officials felt just expanding the current replay process, what is reviewable, that this is the best start for possible solutions on some of the issues.”Proposals also on the agenda for owners to consider beginning Monday:—Amending the overtime structure so that both teams get a possession even if the first series ends in a touchdown. Currently, a TD on the opening possession ends the game. Also, the Chiefs — who lost to New England in OT in the AFC title game without getting a possession — suggest that the team winning the coin toss to start the game get the choice for overtime, and an elimination of the extra period in the preseason.—Allowing teams to elect to enforce on an extra point or on the succeeding kickoff an opponent’s personal or unsportsmanlike conduct foul committed during a touchdown.—Permitting game officials or the officiating department in New York to eject players for both flagrant football and non-football acts. This would allow top officiating executive Al Riveron and his staff to use replay to look at egregious hits and at such acts as fights.—Initiating a scrimmage play that would replace the onside kick for a team trailing in a game.
